Founded by Scott Hills, our mission is to create safer communities through comprehensive child safety and situational awareness education. Scott Hills is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in law enforcement, self-defense instruction, firearms, home invasion, and active shooter prevention. With a BS Degree from the University of Akron in criminal justice, Scott’s journey into safety and security began with his graduation from the Summit County Sheriff’s Academy and Ohio Peace Officers Training School.
Scott’s commitment to excellence led him to pursue additional training, including specialized instruction from the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) and Special Weapons and Tactics certification. Scott’s dedication to honing his skills and expertise further extends to his certifications in various self-defense disciplines, including Krav Maga and the Spear System, as well as becoming an NRA Pistol Instructor and Home Invasion Trainer.
His passion for safety and security of children, families, and communities is evident in his comprehensive approach to training. He emphasizes the importance of situational awareness, de-escalation techniques, and ethical decision-making in self-defense scenarios. His certifications underscore Scott’s expertise in active shooter prevention as an Active Shooter Prevention Trainer, ALICE Certified, and ALIVE Certified professional, and his commitment to ongoing workplace safety training.
As the owner and lead instructor of Child Safety Academy, Scott brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. His dedication to empowering individuals and families with the tools they need to protect themselves is reflected in his personalized approach to training. Scott’s passion for safety, professionalism, and integrity makes him a trusted partner in creating safer communities and a brighter future for all.
